He says that, “we have 12 powerful basketball clubs which play a major role in Asian basketball league. We have won the titles several times with different teams. Iran basketball league is even comparable to China league.”
Kamrani believes all of these achievements are due to caring efforts of Iran basketball federation. He asserts all positive and effective planning and decisions in a federation prove the presence of an efficient and expert management team.
He says, “it is exactly what has happened in Iran basketball federation. All team members look up to the president of the federation as a veteran basketball player.” The president has been once a member of the national team and is deeply familiar with all difficulties that the team faces.
He states if a group desires to be successful, all members of that team should cooperates harmoniously, “just like current Iran basketball federation. Mahdi believes that, “after the federation, clubs play the most important role.” He cites investment for the development of clubs, basic levels, and structures as underlying factors, which contributed to Iran basketball success and three successive years of championship by Iranian clubs in Asia.

He is also famous for his three-point shots, passing precision and, intersections. He is a perseverant and conscientious player who wholeheartedly puts his best for the team.
He has had many coaches, however, he says that Mehran Shahintab and Saeed Armaghani had important roles in his success.
